Dr. Emily Wiggin BA RYT TPI DC
Dr. Emily Wiggin, a proud native of Dartmouth, NS, has been serving her hometown community since 2013. Her journey into chiropractic care began with a degree in Physical Anthropology and Archaeology from Memorial University in Newfoundland, where she discovered a deep fascination with the human body. Building on this passion, she pursued her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, graduating with clinic honours in 2013.
Dr. Wiggin brings a unique blend of expertise and enthusiasm to her practice. While she treats a diverse range of patients, she has cultivated a particular passion for golf fitness and swing development. As the Strength and Conditioning Coach and Medical Liaison for Golf Canada’s National NextGen Girls Team, she collaborates closely with athletes to enhance their performance. Locally, Dr. Wiggin works alongside golf teaching professionals to create comprehensive training programs and treatment protocols that address physical limitations and optimize swing mechanics. This partnership complements the role of teaching professionals, often leading to breakthrough performance for her clients.
Dr. Wiggin’s dedication to golf fitness is enhanced by her Titleist Performance Institute Certification, which she earned in California under the mentorship of top fitness, medical, and golf experts who work with the world’s leading golfers. Using the TPI movement screen and her in-depth knowledge of swing mechanics, she identifies and addresses mobility and strength deficits in her clients. Her work has benefited a wide spectrum of golfers, from weekend enthusiasts to touring professionals. Additionally, she contributed to the Nova Scotia Golf Association high performance program from 2015-2023, helping develop junior players and fostering the next generation of talent.
A former varsity athlete herself, Dr. Wiggin remains deeply involved in the athletic community. From 2014 to 2016, she volunteered as a trainer for the Whalers Bantam Major Hockey Team and served on the medical staff for Hockey Nova Scotia’s U-14 Boys High Performance program. She also chairs Medical Services for the Sidney Crosby Hockey School, a role she has held since its inception in 2015.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Wiggin enjoys spending time with her partner, Jeff, and their two daughters, Avery and Kate. She is committed to her own fitness and can often be found on the golf course during the summer months.
Dr. Wiggin is passionate about helping individuals achieve their health and lifestyle goals. Her role at Kinesis Health Associates reflects her dedication to integrated healthcare, where she combines her skills and knowledge to provide exceptional care. Whether addressing a broad range of chiropractic needs or specializing in golf performance, Dr. Wiggin continually strives to empower her patients to reach their full potential.
